Fabrics with a Story
Every fabric I use, I choose by hand from thrift stores, and each one comes with its own story and personality. I love giving these materials a new life – a blanket becomes a tote bag, a table runner turns into an envelope bag, curtains or cushion covers become linings, and a jacket or blazer is reimagined as a unique bag.
Every piece I create is one-of-a-kind and personal, carrying its story from its previous life into a new, functional, and beloved creation.
Meet the Maker
Hi! I’m Tehila, the maker behind LULA.
I’ve been sewing since I was 12, and I come from a long line of women who loved creating by hand. My mom, my grandma, and even my great-grandma all sewed, so I grew up surrounded by fabric, thread, and creativity.
I’ve always loved transforming old things into something new. Whether it was furniture, embroidery, or forgotten textiles, I found joy in giving them a new purpose.
Today, I handcraft one-of-a-kind bags from vintage quilts, denim, and carefully selected textiles. Every piece is designed and sewn by me, celebrating the beauty and character of the original fabric.
